As part of the policy to improve the efficiency of public services by the Government of Mongolia, the Authority for Government Supervision has started the project on “Process Re-engineering” (PR) in collaboration with the Police and Internal Troops since May 2025. The project aims to eliminate duplication of responsibilities, balance the workload of employees, enhance the quality and accessibility of services provided to citizens, and improve the productivity of the organization.
During the meeting, the Chief of the Authority for Government Supervision, Battsetseg, stated that “The progress and methodology of the police PDIs have the potential to yield good results. Real changes are needed at both structural and service levels. Citizens have high expectations, so it is crucial to achieve results in a short period of time.”
The Deputy of the General Police Department and Head of the Strategy, Policy, Innovation, and Development Department, Brigadier General Ganbat noted that the Department has initiated this work and is collaborating effectively with the General Police Department. An example of this is that the national police, which has a 104-year history, is implementing reforms that meet contemporary needs.
The joint working group is continuing the process of reengineering project in eight key areas and is working to present reports and recommendations to the Government of Mongolia by the third quarter of 2025
