The revised draft of the Law on State Inspection was debated with representatives of the Small Business Owners Association, Mongolian Tourist Association, Mongolian Pharmaceutical Supply Reform Association, Mongolian Pharmacists Association, Primuam Nexus Joint Venture, Anungoo LLC, Digital Concept LLC, GS25, E-Mart, Max Group, Kharmag Khulan LLC, and Mobicom Corporation to gather input from the nation’s business sector.
The debate was jointly held, for the second time, by the Authority for Government Supervision and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce.
The key topics discussed included the improvement of the state inspection system, transparency and accountability, and transition toward a risk-based and advisory-oriented approach to inspections.
Representatives of non-governmental organizations and private companies shared their views on the challenges and burdens caused by the current state inspection practices and discussed possible regulatory improvements moving forward.
Ms. Bataa Battsetseg, Chief of the Authority for Government Supervision, emphasized the importance of first collecting input from the private sector rather than state institutions in drafting the revised law. She also stated that efforts will be made to incorporate sector-specific feedback and confirmed that the agency remains open to receiving further proposals and recommendations.
